This lighter was for sure produced in Germany. The patent is from Jakob Wolf and it's dated 1947. I'm not sure who really produced it.
This is really a nice a great "squeeze action” lighter which was produced in Austria. Unfortunately I don't know the manufacture. I saw a couple of these also with silver sleeve and therefore I believe that they were pretty expensive and not so common lighters.
Frankly I don't know if these were produced by AP directly. I believe that DORGENTO derives from Argento which is silver. Now All these Meapi Dorgento have a silver sleeve and my personal opinion is that on AP lighter they mounted their cover.
